What is useful for calcium and where to find it

WHAT IS IT FOR?
Calcium is the most abundant mineral in the human body: in the adult body, it contains about 1-1. 2 kg. About 99% of calcium is involved in the formation and maintenance of normal bones and teeth. But the rest of the calcium (1%) is also very important! It is involved in many vital processes that occur in the body, and provides blood clotting, muscle contraction, the passage of nerve impulses, the release of hormones, cell division, etc.
With prolonged consumption of calcium, which comes with food, the risk of developing hypertension is reduced. However, the beneficial properties of calcium are often better manifested in the presence of other substances, such as vitamin D, proteins, phosphorus or fluorine.

WHERE CAN I FIND IT?
The foods that provide the highest calcium intake in the body include milk and dairy products (cheese, yogurt, etc.): with them, the body receives about 60% of all the calcium we consume.

The remaining third of the required dose of calcium we get from some vegetables with green leaves, from dried fruits, legumes and from some varieties of mineral water.
